Kaya 0.1.0-rc.1

Opt-in native standalone candidate for Linux GNU x64

Native standalone candidate

These notes describe the explicit opt-in candidate for the native Rust release. They are not a public availability or installation receipt. Candidate publication and public verification remain separate from source qualification; check current release status before installation. This candidate does not promote stable or complete final 0.1.0 validation.

The standalone archive contains kaya, kayad and their required colocated kaya-tool-server, with file checksums, terms and notices. The sibling release.json records the source commit, protocol versions and archive identity. Native core execution needs neither Bun nor Node. Optional React/TSX rendering needs separately installed Node, tsx and React; conversion operations may need their separately documented external tools.

Platform

Only Linux GNU x64 has matching-host source qualification for this candidate. Its validation host is Debian 12, glibc 2.36, Linux 6.1. The binaries use the system GNU dynamic loader, libc, libm and libgcc. Other distributions and older system libraries are not qualified by this host's results. Linux ARM64 and Windows remain gated.

Installation precautions

Reviewed installation commands and download links appear on the release page only after public verification. Candidates require an explicit version on the installer process; rolling aliases do not select them.

Stop an older daemon manually before upgrading. An old flat installation is preserved and refused; select a fresh KAYA_INSTALL_DIR for the candidate. Keep the three executables together. The installer selects one verified cohort through its current symlink.

The product version is separate from daemon protocol and HTTP binding 2.0.0. Older raw text-delta clients need the durable-history client protocol.

Third-party notices include original upstream/native/data notices, exact package declarations and explicitly labeled SPDX reference texts. Each supplemental package's SOURCES.json records its provenance and any unavailable original notice. Standard reference placeholders remain unchanged.
