Kaya 0.1.0-rc.2

Verified public native standalone candidate for Linux GNU x64

Native standalone candidate

Kaya 0.1.0-rc.2 is an explicit opt-in native Rust candidate. Its immutable public artifacts and matching-host installation have been verified for Linux GNU x64. Use the pinned command on the release page. Final 0.1.0 is not yet qualified; this candidate does not promote stable.

The standalone archive contains three colocated native executables: kaya, kayad and the required kaya-tool-server. It includes file checksums, release notes, license terms and third-party notices. Core execution needs neither Bun nor Node. Optional React/TSX rendering requires separately installed Node, tsx and React; native rendering and conversion operations may need external tools. See media rendering for those dependencies. Editor packages, kaya-acp and kaya-utils are not included.

The immutable release manifest identifies compiled source revision 559004a369602199341863e4cc6fd94aa2c6be8f, the archive and protocol versions. Checksums provide integrity over HTTPS; they are not a publisher signature.

Platform

Only Linux GNU x64 has matching-host public installation qualification. The validation host is Debian 12, glibc 2.36 and Linux 6.1. These checks do not establish compatibility with other distributions or older system libraries. Linux ARM64 and Windows x64 remain gated.

Installation and upgrades

Select 0.1.0-rc.2 explicitly on the installer process. The latest and dev aliases do not select this candidate. Keep all three executables together; the installer verifies and selects one complete cohort through its current symlink. Stop an older daemon manually before upgrading. An old flat install is preserved and refused; use a fresh KAYA_INSTALL_DIR. See Installing Kaya for setup and precautions, then Getting Started for a first run without a model provider.

The product version is separate from daemon protocol and HTTP binding 2.0.0. Clients use durable history; older raw text-delta clients need to upgrade. Saved sessions retain their immutable program snapshots when source files change.

This candidate runs native programs through the CLI and daemon. Browser-local execution, browser BYOK and runnable /try examples remain deferred to a later browser release.
